2011 (so far..)

  • Autumn-Winter: TBA
  • July:  Formed “The Loodis Brothers” acoustic project
  • Mar. 6: Released preview version of “Rotten Redshield” (Ill Omen Nation)
  • Worked on trailer for children’s book “Press Here“.
  • Improved methods and style for Brute and began shooting reference actors (January). Came up with final solution for animation process.
  • Completing new Ill Omen Nation material (Feb/March).
  • Received recognition from Procordia Foods / Grandiosa for a fan ad created using CGI.
2010
  • Audio Mastered “Horror Classics..” (Those Left Behind)
  • Taught UDK, Flash & Scaleform at request of Scaleform Corporation via video tutorials
  • Completed animation tests and a teaser for Brute as well as some tests in a graphic novel version.
  • Did CGI work for short film “The Lonely Can” (Director Stephen Hammal).
  • Established “RyosaMusic” to handle all soundtrack and non metal output.
2009
  • Contributed a bit to the early stages of The Ball (Teotl Studios) which won 2nd place in Make Something Unreal and eventually went on to be a UDK showcase title now sold on Steam.
  • Did a short parody of  famous anime “Naruto” to get some animation experience.
  • Completed first drawn storyboards and animatics for Brute.
  • Started taking animation contracts,  did subcontract work for Random House Publishing.
  • Got more serious about the games industry from a production perspective.  Found a voice as a teacher with Mastering Unreal Tournament video series.  Revived Ill Omen Nation music project to continue in the same spirit as Mistral. Recorded “Shadow Mask” and “The Neo Angelics” (Ill Omen Nation).
  • Audio Mastered EP album for Tremor.
2008
  • Opened VoxHouse Studio.  Mixed “The Perdition EP” (Enslavement of Beauty)
2007
  • Audio Mastered “Mere Contemplations” (Enslavement of Beauty)
  • Started novelization of Brute.
2006
  • Started a project (Blackguard) with Tony Eugene Tunheim of Enslavement of Beauty.  Recorded “The Name of Amaron” (Blackguard),  “A Life Accursed” (Mistral)
2005
  • Started doing some work for a Canadian design firm.  Projects ranged from aboriginal community initiatives, to government contracts, and industry related multimedia projects. Created documentation for software such as Joomla to teach people with virtually zero experience.
  • Established SCANIME as my animation imprint.
2004
  • Became webmaster of Ganglion.
  • The concept of my series “Brute” began to take form.  Chose the name that year.  Heavy research began into a style of animation that would be innovative, as well as possible for a single person or extremely small team.
2003
  • Recorded “Lavish Lurid Liquid”, “Lunar Link” (Mistral).
2002
  • Mixed “Mysterion” (Royal Anguish).
  • Recorded guest vocals and guitar for “Mary Did You Know?”  with Royal Anguish on “A Brutal Christmas” (Various Artists)
  • Became webmaster of Extol (Century Media Records). Recorded “The Earth’s Reflection”, “World In Me”, “Enter Into The Chambers”, “Shangri-La” (Mistral)
2001
  • Started MetalHQ.com, a metal community which grew to thousands of users and millions of hits.
  • Started Mistral, recorded first original tune “Suicide by Suspicion” and also “Threatened” for A Tribute To Living Sacrifice.
  • Cameraman & editor (Adobe Premiere) for local Sudbury Finnish tv program “Heijastin”.
2000
  • Became webmaster and online PR guy for Living Sacrifice (Solid State Records).
  • Started original incarnation of Ill Omen Nation, releasing “Industrialization of the World” on BloodTreaty Records, while Sapientia disbanded.
  • Did some pharma industry and government related contracts as a web subcontractor.
  • Became interested in animation, did first tests and the dream began of one day accomplishing a series.
  • Created a television commercial aired in Sudbury.
1999
  • Started recording material in home studio.  Became familiar with some music apps, how to mic gear, etc.  Got into designing websites professionally around this time, started learning Flash, and Photoshop.
1998
  • Changed our name to Sapientia, more metal influence in our sound – recorded again.  Played a couple of shows.  Nearly convinced Solid State Records to sign us.. but didn’t :P – became very popular via MP3.com and actually pulled some decent sized checks.
1997
  • Recorded first time in a studio with my hardcore band Forevermore.
1996
  • Interned at Science North (Ontario Canada) in art department.  Created adverts and exhibits, clothing designs etc, seen by hundreds of thousands of tourists.  Worked on their website. My first real capacity as a designer.  Used Macs.
